As the COVID-19 situation continues to develop across the state, the NSW Government has extended restrictions to help keep people safe.

From today (11 August, 2021) at 1pm, stay-at-home orders will apply to all people who live in the Dubbo LGA or have been there on or after 1 August 2021.

Dubbo LGA has now been added to the stay-at-home restrictions list along with Greater Sydney, Tamworth, Northern Rivers, Armidale, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Port Stephens, Singleton, Dungog, Muswellbrook and Cessnock.

Below we have outlined the restrictions for bike riders based on their location in NSW.

“We know this is a challenging time for people in NSW. Where possible we encourage you to go for a ride, even if a short one. Bike riding offers many physical and mental health benefits and these can help people get through this difficult time,” said Kim Lavender, Bicycle NSW Communications Manager.

Bicycle NSW is not in the position to provide individual information. If you would like further clarification any COVID-19 restrictions, please visit the NSW Health website, the updated health orders or contact Service NSW on 13 77 88.

The fines for not wearing a mask have increased from $200 to $500, and people who have medical reasons not to wear a mask must carry evidence of this.
