Unfortunately, due to more COVID-19 cases a snap lockdown has been declared for the Hunter and Upper Hunter from 5pm 7 August. At this stage this lockdown will be lifted at midnight on August 12 unless extended.

We have added to our table below, to try and make it as easy as possible to understand the orders.  The orders and amendments, when read together, appear to allow singles bubbles to be formed in the Hunter and Upper Hunter, but this hasn’t been specifically mentioned yet and needs further clarification.

“A big thank you to all our riders for keeping it local and looking out for each-other,” said Bicycle NSW General Manager of Public Affairs, Bastien Wallace.

“With less traffic on the roads and some parks going car-free, we hope you are able to get out and ride over the next few days,” said Bastien.

For further information about the NSW Health COVID-19 rules, check out the website and the updated health orders. The fines for not wearing a mask have increased from $200 to $500, and people who have medical reasons not to wear a mask must carry evidence of this.
