Bicycle NSW Membership has changed its renewal date to Friday, 1 June 2018 for the 2018/2019 Membership year. All payments for the new membership year will be processed on this day.
This means, our auto renewal process will occur one month earlier than in 2017/18. This follows a thorough review of the results and subsequent implications of the process that took place last year.
Prices of memberships for 2018/19 auto renewal:
- Individual: $120
- Concession: $103
- Household: $165
Upon the renewal process for 2017/18, a large proportion of our loyal members were not covered on July 1. This means some of our members were unnecessarily at risk for at least one day of the year, something that Bicycle NSW takes very seriously.
These memberships failed to renew due to expired card details - a largely avoidable circumstance that members were not aware of until contact was made.
We are therefore taking every step possible to ensure that our members are covered each day of the year. All members will have the month of June, if required, to amend their details and renew their coverage before the new year rolls over.
Please note that coverage for current members is still valid until 23:59, June 30 2018.
If payment is not processed on June 1, Members are still covered for the proceeding 30 days until June 30.
Bicycle NSW is giving a leeway time to ensure all of our Members remain cover all year round. We will contact all Members via email or phone if there was an issue with your auto renewal. No Bicycle NSW Member deserves to be riding uninsured on the road, for unnecessary reasons
Members renewing for the new membership year (2018/2019) will enjoy coverage until 23:59, June 30 2019.
Your 2018/2019 Membership will start from 00:00 June 1 2018.

Updating your details is very easy. You have two options
Option 1 : Log in to your member’s portal and enter your new details
Option 2: Call the Bicycle NSW office on 02 9704 0800 and we will happily make the changes for you.

When will my membership for year 2018/19 be processed?
All payments for membership year 2018/19 will be processed on June 1, 2018.
Will payment be deducted from my account on June 1, 2018?
Yes, all members who are currently on an auto renewal plan with Bicycle NSW will have the full membership price for 2018/19 deducted from their account on this date.
When does my current (2017/2018) membership expire?
All current members enjoy total coverage until 23:59, 30 June 2018.
This means that if payment for membership year 2018/19 isn’t deducted on June 1, they are still fully covered by our insurance until June 30 23:59.
Why is my payment being processed a month earlier this year?
Following a review of the process in July last year, we found that a proportion of our Members did not auto renew due to credit card issues. This means they were not covered for at least one day of the year.
We want to reduce this risk and give all members the chance to update their details and ensure comprehensive coverage 365 days a year.
Does my membership for 2018/19 expire on June 1, 2019?
No, the membership year still runs in accordance with the financial year. Your 2018/19 membership will begin on July 1, 2018 and expire on June 30, 2019.
What are the membership prices for year 2018/19?
Membership prices will be the same as they were for 2017/18:

How do I update my credit card details?
There are two ways that you can update your credit card details with Bicycle NSW. You can either:
- Log-in to your membership portal page on the Bicycle NSW website and update your details on the ‘Payment Methods’ page, which can be found in the options to the left of the page.
- Give our friendly membership team a call on 9704 0800 and they will happily update your details for you.
I was hoping to change my membership type for 2018/19. What do I do?
If you were looking to change your membership type for 2018/19 (e.g. - Individual to Concession), please contact us before June 1 so we can ensure your current membership doesn’t roll over.
Am I in the draw to win the prize pack?
Yes, all members who have their 2018/19 membership renewed on June 1 will be in the draw to win a TOMTOM sports watch, worth over $400, and free entry to the Spring Financial Group Spring Cycle. This will be held on Sunday, 14 October 2018.
