Our latest road safety campaign launched recently and the waste disposal trucks are now active. Have you seen them in your area yet?
Working with SUEZ and NSW Police, Bicycle NSW launched this campaign to help create more awareness for bike rider safety. There are 2 SUEZ trucks wrapped with 4 different images. Each image has a slightly different message about road safety for bike riders. See the four different images below.
Their Routes
One truck has been assigned to the Eastern Suburbs run, covering a route from the base in Wetherill Park, all the way through to Coogee and will take in Centennial parklands. The other is destined for the North side of Sydney, taking in areas such as North Sydney, Gordon and Lane Cove.
Typically, trucks like these stay in the SUEZ fleet for 10 years however these wraps will stay on the trucks for about 48-60 months. This depends on them remaining free of tears and maintaining colour and cleanliness.
SUEZ's Safety Standards
We are proud to work with SUEZ on a campaign like this as their vehicle safety standards exemplify practices that uphold community safety. We have previously written about the technology SUEZ use and their driver education so we were only too happy to work with them again.
“These trucks will be on Sydney roads reaching new audiences to help spread safety messages across the community,” commented Kim Lavender, Bicycle NSW Communications Manager.
If you see one of these trucks, we’ve love for you to snap a photo and either send us an email at info@bicyclensw.org.au or to post it on social media and tag us at @bicyclensw
