You can help make national heavy vehicle law safer for everyone.
Part of our heavy vehicle campaign includes changing the law to help improve road safety. The current Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) is up for review and you can help change it for the better.
You have until Friday 31 May, 2019 to provide feedback online by completing surveys or logging issues OR you can email a submission. Bicycle NSW has prepared a template letter for your use. Please feel free to modify it to reflect your local issues and concerns.
“We are actually asking for many of the same legal changes the heavy vehicle industry has already called for,” said General Manager of Public Affairs, Bastien Wallace.
“Heavy vehicle operators may need Federal Government support to fund safety upgrades their fleets, and we support their calls for assistance,” said Bastien.
Bicycle NSW encourages everyone who walks, rides a bicycle, motorbike or horse to take this opportunity to show government how important heavy vehicle safety is to you.
