JML Racing, an important partner of Bicycle NSW to represent and advocate for all bicycle riders is a cycling team with a difference. JML Racing combines domestic and international racing with advocacy, rider development and a commitment to encourage people of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds to ride with the ultimate goal of creating a better environment for cycling. JML racing have embedded cycling advocacy firmly within the team and JML’s riders are active advocates.
JML Racing was founded in 2013 to provide the opportunity for a group of young riders from both the city and country to develop and race together. Success on and off the bike quickly followed, with wins at the Spring Cycle, Bathurst and at a variety of local and state races. In 2016 representation in the Australian National Road Series and the past 5 years at the UCI UWCT World Amateur Championships.
Team growth has continued steadily, as have the advocacy efforts with JML Racing working hard to build a better environment for all cyclists.
JML is working towards an exciting cycling future by creating a comprehensive platform to develop cyclists with @training peaks as a training platform and professional coaches. In 2016 this included Henk Vogels, former professional rider and dual Paris-Roubaix top-10 finisher, has joined the JML family as Performance Manager and Directeur Sportif.
JML Racing’s ethos ‘more than a cycling team’ is evident in its ambassador program, which includes SBS icon Michael Tomalaris and urban planning consultant Sara Stace, a key player in improving cycling infrastructure across the country and a Bicycle NSW Board Member.
