Bicycle NSW has confirmed Alistair Ferguson as its CEO.
Alistair joined the organisation in November 2017 serving as the Membership Manager. In 2018 he was promoted to the role of Executive Officer as Bicycle NSW changed the focus of its engagement from event management to advocacy. Previous roles with the renowned Essendon Football Club and Moonee Valley Racing Club underpin Alistair’s knowledge of membership and major sporting event experience.
“Riding my bike to work in Sydney helps me stay fit, but it highlights some of the challenges people face on the roads. We want to make it easier for everyone in NSW to ride a bike,” said Alistair.
Bicycle NSW is launching its policy platform around three key themes: Build it for Everyone, Safe Home and Invest Now for Health.
“People in NSW want to ride bikes, but need safe connected infrastructure that gets them where they need to go. We are calling on Government to help make NSW the best place to ride a bike in Australia,” said Alistair.
