As greater freedoms have been allowed across parts of NSW, what has changed for riders?

Question of  Group Rides

We were hoping that the amendment to the public health orders released today would help clear up the question of group rides.  Unfortunately it has not.  After waiting on hold for an hour with Service NSW to try and get clarification, the call still hadn’t been answered, and had to be abandoned to attend other meetings.

Outdoor Groups

Bootcamps and other outdoor training groups have interpreted the amendments as allowing a return to group training for fully vaccinated people in groups of no more than 5.  However these are businesses, and they have QR Codes and submit COVID-19 Safety plans to the government.

Our table explaining what you are allowed to do has been updated, based on the amended health orders.

“We are sorry we can’t provide greater certainty at this stage,” said Bicycle NSW General Manager of Public Affairs.

“We have erred on the side of caution, as we know none of our members wants a fine, and we will update as soon as we know more,” said Bastien.
