There has never been a better time to speak up about transport.
Did you know that Transport for NSW is reviewing the Future Transport 2056 Plan and asking for your thoughts? We can see from the focus topics that many issues you care about may have been forgotten.
You can ensure that what you need makes it on the list by heading here, scrolling to the bottom of the page and adding your idea. We encourage you to tell as many bike riders and their families as possible.
Whether it’s bikes on trains, safe travel to school, more cycleways, less potholes, better education on close passing laws or public end of trip facilities, add your comment, and encourage your friends and family to do the same. The last plan forgot many of the issues that matter to you, but we know the number of comments matter.
We also know that since the first policy in 2017, Transport for NSW has created excellent policies that are supposed to ensure bike riders receive greater priority in the allocation of road space and that require Transport projects to provide for them.
“We are asking every member to submit at least one comment or request, and to encourage a friend to do the same,” said Bicycle NSW General Manager of Public Affairs, Bastien Wallace.
“Now is the time to show our new Transport Minister that a review of the plan must include greater priority for bike riders,” said Bastien.
