In November 2019, we encouraged bike riders to #RideTheBush to support our struggling regional communities through the drought. Now, after a tough summer of fires and floods we’re calling for riders to again #RideTheBush.

We have highlighted rides in some parts of NSW such as Mudgee/Gulgong, Wagga Wagga, Albury and the South Coast. Stay tuned for more rides soon.

Excitingly, we’ve also launched #RideTheBush merchandise. Through these designs we wanted to showcase the beautiful, but sometimes harsh, nature of the Australian landscape. Also a reminder of the strong Australian spirit in tough times. We have two ranges with shirts, jerseys, hats and socks available.

Better yet, 15% from every piece of #RideTheBush merchandise sold before April 30 will be donated to Foundation For Rural & Regional Renewal’s Disaster Resilience and Recovery Fund.

With many worthy charities and initiatives to choose from, we choose FRRR above all because of their focus on the medium to long term community needs, not just the immediate aftermath.

"Our #RideTheBush merchandise is a reminder of how Australia unites in times of need. We had a tough summer but the journey continues. We encourage all bike riders to head to regional communities to support their recovery after a disastrous summer. We have hundreds of rides mapped out for you to enjoy," commented Kim Lavender, Bicycle NSW Communications Manager.
