We love moves by major political parties to keep pumping up the promises for bike riding. The proof comes in the paving and delivery. Comparing the promises over 4 years looks like this.
We have encouraged everyone who rides a bike to use the publicised promises in conversations with their local member and electoral candidates. Once you have voted and the results have been announced, that is when the real work begins.
Bicycle NSW needs your help to track delivery. Every time bicycle infrastructure or behaviour change projects receive funding, we want to hear from you.
Our website will feature the tracking of these promises, we will collect evidence of each project and share it. Bicycle NSW has seen riders share their appetite for change across the State through the #FixMyBikePath2019 images and now we will track the delivery by the NSW Government.
“We know the best way to make riders safer and get more people riding is to deliver safe, separated infrastructure,” said Bicycle NSW General Manage of Public Affairs, Bastien Wallace.
“Once the dust settles after the election, we want to be sure people across NSW see these benefits in their communities,” said Bastien.
We’re looking forward to a better environment for all bicycle riders in NSW.
