About Bicycle NSW: Bicycle NSW is the peak not-for-profit member-based organisation for recreational and commuter bike riders in New South Wales. Our mission is to create a better environment for all bicycle riders by advocating for improved cycling infrastructure, safety, and accessibility. We also host various events and initiatives to promote cycling and build a strong cycling community.
Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and creative Photographer, Video Producer and Social Media Volunteer to join our team. This role is perfect for a uni student studying video production and photography and someone who loves cycling, has a knack for social media, and enjoys capturing moments through photography and video. As a volunteer, you will help us raise awareness about our initiatives, engage with our community, and create compelling content that highlights the work we do.
Responsibilities:
- Social Media: Draft and schedule posts for our social media platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging content, including photos, videos, and graphics, to promote our events, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Photography: Capture high-quality photos at Bicycle NSW events and activities.
- Video Production: Create short videos (15-30sec to 3mins) for social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments and messages on our social media accounts, fostering a positive and active online community.
- Analytics: Track and report on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Communications and Partnerships team to align content with our overall strategy and goals.
Requirements:
- Passion for Cycling: A genuine interest in cycling and promoting a cycling-friendly environment.
- Social Media Savvy: At least 12 months experience with managing social media accounts and creating content for various platforms.
- Photography/Video Production Skills: Ability to capture high-quality photos and videos. At least 12 months experience with photo and video editing software.
- Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop/Canva Skills: Ability to create graphics and social media tiles
- Creativity: A creative mindset with the ability to generate new ideas and think outside the box.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Problem Solving Skills: Ability to research solutions to problems and issues that may arise and be an independent thinker.
