In the daily grind, we often miss the opportunity to inform you about how we’re making things better for bike riding.

Last year we developed a policy platform focused around the three key areas that would make it better for bike riding in NSW. We want to make it easier for you to see what we’ve been working on.

Bicycle NSW provides advisory services to local and state government, developers and land managers to work on including the needs of people riding bikes in projects.  We also develop and support campaigns on key issues for people riding bikes.

Sometimes working with government and police requires that we keep matters confidential.  Where we can talk about things, we’ll be sharing a selection on our new You asked, We Answered page.

“It’s easy to get so busy doing the work that we forget to tell you about it,” said General Manager of Public Affairs, Bastien Wallace.

“We are working across a mix of infrastructure, safety and health areas and growing our proactive activity,” said Bastien.

We also do a lot of individual advocacy for our members on a range of safety and infrastructure issues. This can be especially helpful when a rider or a local BUG has tried to address an issue, but needs help to overcome challenges.
