Police have charged a woman following the fatal hit and run crash that killed a man riding his bike at Lidcombe last Tuesday (7 May 2019).

The 66-year-old Neutral Bay man was hit by the Toyota Corolla and died at the scene, in spite of the efforts of emergency services.

Police have arrested a 47-year-old woman who has been charged with failing to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing death, dangerous driving occasioning death, drive in a manner dangerous, and negligent driving (occasioning death).

The Lidcombe woman was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 11 May 2019).

“Again we offer our condolences to the rider's family and friends and we call on all road users to take care of each other,” said Bicycle NSW General Manager of Public Affairs, Bastien Wallace.

“We remind all road users how important it is to stop and call 000 in any crash where someone is hurt or killed, it's the law and you could save a life” said Bastien.
