Why not join one of Bicycle NSW rides, workshops or a local event near you at one of our affiliated bike shops? With signature annual events: Spring Cycle and Gear Up Girl, there is a something to suit everyone. What are you waiting for? Hop on your bike and ride with us!

We’re calling on all riders – young or old, experienced or on training wheels – to get on their bikes during this January and February and help show NSW how great two wheels can be! Do you use a cycling app to track your rides? Or want to start using an app? Then sign up and connect your app to Cycling Heroes and join our 4 weeks of online BikeSummer Cycling Challenges!

This fun challenge will be completely online and will include 4 separate weekly challenges. The first challenge will begin on Monday 30 January and the final challenge will end on Sunday 26 February 2017. There are prizes to be won just for participating, including a brand new Totem Cross Disc Pro bike from Cell Bikes, plus you’ll earn points to use towards great rewards – so no matter where you are, when you ride, you can make this summer a BikeSummer!

Gear Up Girl

Get your hearts pumping for Sydney’s largest, women’s recreational bike ride this March! Our Gear Up Girl Ride is an annual cycling event in partnership with the Heart Foundation. The ride is all about encouraging women and girls to get active and get on their bikes, while raising funds for the Heart Foundation. It shows off some of Sydney’s most spectacular separated cycleways. Starting at Sydney Olympic Park and finishing in a festival atmosphere at Cronulla Beach. With 20km, 40km and 60km options; there is a ride to suit you and all your friends. Bring the kids, they ride free!

Spring Cycle

Spring Cycle is Bicycle NSW’s signature event with the ONLY opportunity for you to ride over the Sydney Harbour Bridge main deck traffic free! Be part of the largest recreational bicycle ride in NSW this October. With over a 10,000 riders, Spring Cycle provides the unique opportunity for you to ride over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, enjoy iconic views and discover the cycling infrastructure around the city and western suburbs. There are three different rides, 12K, 50K & 105K, so whether you are a beginner or a lycra lover, we have the challenge for you! And remember, kids ride for free!

Our affiliated bike shops are there to support you, your bike and everything along the way. Want to learn how to fix a puncture, know more about how to take those tight corners or just want to get information on what to look for when buying your next new bike? Visit any of our affiliated bike shops within our BNSW community and they will help you out for sure. A great bonus for Bicycle NSW members: these workshops are FREE.
