Virtual Charity Rides

Due to COVID-19 many charity rides have turned virtual this year. It's a fantastic way to support some great causes no matter where you are located or how far you can ride.

The Champion Ride
October, 2021

A childhood without safety is no childhood at all. Thousands of Australian children are living at risk of abuse and violence in their homes. You can replace fear and danger with freedom and safety by getting on your bike this October and raising funds for Barnardos Australia.

Sign up to ride from 50 to 500km in October and help vulnerable children go further.

Great Cycle Challenge
October 2021

This October, we're riding to end childhood cancer and save little lives.

Every hill we climb and every kilometre we pedal will be to honour those lives we've lost and stand with those brave kids still fighting to survive. These kids won't give up, and neither will we.

Our goal is to fund life-saving research to develop safer and more effective treatments, and find cures for all childhood cancers.

Because kids should be living life, NOT fighting for it.

Physical Charity Rides

Many of the below charity rides have been impacted by COVID-19 Restrictions.
We encourage you to check their websites for more information about their events being cancelled or postponed.

While Bicycle NSW supports charity rides, we are not the event organiser and are not responsible for or involved in creating the required COVID-19 Safety Plan. We continue to recommend all participants follow the NSW Health COVID-19 guidelines and any special COVID-19 rules by the charity ride organisers.

1-31 October, 2021

In 6 years, our community of 55,774 riders from all 6 states and 2 territories have ridden a total of 13,341,418km, and together we’ve raised $16,300,890 in support of research to develop better treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Why? Because cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in Australia. Over 600 Australian children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 children die every week.

We're riding to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve, and we believe that any one individual can make their personal impact to fight cancer and save little lives.

So we’re calling on all Australians to get on their bikes this October and join our movement to kick cancer’s butt!
