Today’s announcement provided more time to exercise for people living in the LGA’s of concern.

We are still awaiting amendments to the regulatory framework to reflect the changes, but the Premier has announced that from tomorrow, 3 September, people from the LGA’s of concern will no longer be limited to one hour of exercise per day.

Curfews will remain in place, but it means riders will be able to cycle for a longer time, between the hours of 5am and 9pm.

Be sure to follow the NSW Health advice - if you are in a LGA of Concern, you can still only ride 5km from your house.

“For everyone who enjoys a longer ride and lives in the LGA’s of concern, this is good news,” said Bicycle NSW General Manager of Public Affairs, Bastien Wallace.

“We encourage everyone to get out and enjoy a ride if you can in this lovely spring weather,” said Bastien.
