The only certainty at present is that COVID-19 measures will change.

Since our last update, the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Hilltops and Glen Innes have entered a 7 day lockdown, and Cowra will join them from 5pm today.  Stay at home orders also apply to anyone who has been in Cowra from the 13th of September.

End-dates clarified

End-dates were also clarified for many parts of NSW currently under stay at home orders. The first areas due to be released on the 23rd of September in line with these orders are Lismore and the City of Albury, followed by the Yass Valley on the 28th of September.  Most other parts of NSW, outside Greater Sydney, are due to be released from Stay at home measures on October 1st.  However, we will wait to reflect these in our table on the correct dates, in case anything changes before then.

Overnight many of the controls in place in the LGA’s of concern have been altered to align with the rest of Greater Sydney.  However if you live outside an LGA of concern you must not enter one unless you have a reasonable excuse.

Public swimming pools have been removed from the venues that must stay closed, and once COVID-safe measures are in place will be able to re-open.  Check with your local Council for how and when you can next head for a swim.

“We are heartened that restrictions are reducing for riders in some parts of NSW,” said Bicycle NSW General Manager of Public Affairs, Bastien Wallace.

“As the rules continue to change, we will keep you updated,” said Bastien.
