This is a great opportunity for both organisations and comes at a time when public demand for bike sharing services is high. Research conducted by the public health department at the University of Sydney has also found high levels of support for public bike sharing.

“Bicycle NSW loves to 'Drive Less and Ride More' and so does HelloRide. It made great sense to partner together for mutual benefit. We were very pleased to join HelloRide for a launch ride through Darling Harbour, Kent Street and over the Harbour Bridge”, said Bicycle NSW CEO Peter McLean.  “It was a brilliant opportunity for our team to test ride fantastic share bikes which are now available and easy to use in Sydney.”

HelloRide’s eco-friendly electric bikes offer the latest in design innovation including swappable lithium-ion batteries with a range of up to 120km and drum brakes for braking agility. Aluminium alloy frames ensure a smooth ride and the air valve seat design makes it easily adjustable. Hello’s 2022 Smart E-Bikes also have a powerful electric motor capable of tackling hilly terrain with ease. Comfort and balance are possible through a low centre of gravity, while non-pneumatic hollow tyres improve stability.

Hello’s hybrid parking technology enables the system to intelligently determine the parking status of the e-bike through an innovative algorithm. Dockless designated parking enables this technology to determine standardised parking spots through the location of users’ mobile phones and bikes to manage the return location.
