With thousands of places to ride across NSW how do you find the right route for you? As the peak body for bike riders in NSW, we wanted to make the discovery of new rides easier.  We have collated ride routes into a statewide map, that we hope will inspire more riding for all ages and rider types.

Our NSW Riding Map is geographically divided into:

  • Greater Sydney
  • Central & Northern Slopes and Plains
  • Northern Tablelands
  • Southern Tablelands
  • North & Central Coast
  • South Coast
  • Western Division

Each route includes a route map, description, distance, elevation, surface, traffic levels, difficulty level, and handy facilities we’re aware of along the way i.e. toilets, cafes.

Bicycle NSW collected these rides with the help of Bicycle User Groups, riding enthusiasts and local councils.

“Our hope is for people to use this map to discover new places to ride across NSW. At the moment there are 125 rides listed. There are options for Sunday family rides, scenic rides discovering new places and also some very tough but rewarding rides – all in NSW. We managed to get a great mix of routes for rides that are on-road, shared paths, gravel and mountain bike trails. We want to see more people enjoying riding time and less time researching the right route!” said Bicycle NSW Event Director, Carlijn Kerdijk.

To use the map, simply follow the link. You can scroll through the names and descriptions of the ride on the left of your screen or zoom in on a specific location on the map to see if there are any rides in that area.

Spotted a Bicycle User Group in your area? Why not contact them and find out how to join them on one of their weekly rides. You can find their info by clicking on one of the green stars in your area.

If you use our map to go riding, let us know how it was. Even better, post a picture on social media and tag us in using @bicyclensw

Did we miss a route?
